This course acknowledges that it takes place on the ancestral lands of the Muscogee (Creek) and Tsalagi (Cherokee). The lands on which the Georgia Institute of Technology stands was ceded in the 1826 Treaty of Washington, voiding the previous Treaty of Indian Springs.
